Write Yourself Happy

Ladies and gents, I've found my next challenge!

This morning, on the blog Smile and Write, Shannon started a new segment called Write Yourself Happy. She talked about how happiness is often a choice, that we choose our thoughts, and we can choose to have happy ones!

Her idea is to write in a journal to change our negative thoughts to happy ones. She says that if we write with the intention of improving our mood, it will happen. Smart girl.

Each week, Shannon will post a prompt to write about, and invited everyone to write themselves happy!

So I got a journal:
And I'm giving it a try!

Today's prompt is:
Write about the happiest day of your life.

I think the happiest day of my life is the day I became a mother. So I guess it's two separate days, but it still counts. I remember holding each of my girls in my arms for the first time, and just feeling immense love overpowering me. The best way I can explain it is that it's like my heart broke and was rebuilt in that same moment, and I suddenly found my purpose in life.
Looking at these pictures brings tears to my eyes and a smile on my face. I can close my eyes and almost be transported back to that moment, looking at those beautiful girls for the first time.

What is your happiest day?
