Buffy,

The Vampire Slayer.

Here's the deal. I grew up in the 90s, so I should have seen every episode of Buffy. But I didn't. I've seen bits and pieces of episodes here and there, but never the whole series, start to finish.

Well folks, I'm going to change that.

I watched a few episodes last night, and I'll probably watch some more tonight. It's so awesome.

  1. I had a roommate my freshman year who was way into Buffy and I got sucked in big time. It's addictive, be careful :)

  2. I'm starting to see that. Hopefully the fact that it's too scary for the kiddos, will force me to limit myself to only a little bit at a time.

  4. So, maybe this just makes me obsessive, but I kind of love this site: http://slayageonline.com/pages/Slayage/slayagearchive.htm

If you love the musical episode, you should also watch the behind-the-scenes of the musical episode, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tGKdelYwHI (and then click on "Part 2/2" when it's done).

I don't know how much of the later seasons you have seen, but just in case you don't already know this, season 6 is super depressing, but it makes season 7 make sense, and season 7 is epic. I know a lot of people who quit in season 6 because it wasn't as fun, so they missed the payoff of season 7. Joss Whedon is incredible. A disclaimer though, season 6 deals with some really tough subjects. The writers and actors and everybody claim that "Buffy" is a family show, which I can see because it could facilitate family discussion on those tough subjects, but it's got some really mature material especially in the later seasons. Not necessarily family-friendly. Sorry if you already know all that :) I just always have to include that caveat and be careful how I recommend the show, since it's not really G-rated. I'll stop taking over your comments section now ...

  5. Ok, I just finished the first season today, and loved it! I haven't seen much of anything past season 2, so I appreciate the season 6 downer warning. I'll be sure to stick with it!
And I've heard about the musical episode, I'm a little excited! Thanks guys!
