Makeup Challenge - Last day!

Wow, I can't believe this challenge is over! It's been so much fun to do, and I've loved learning new makeup ideas and techniques!

I actually have two looks to show you today!

The first is my makeup pet peeves.

Hahaha! I seriously laughed for about 5 minutes when I got done applying this. 

Let me break it down for you.

First, I hate when people over-draw their brows. Too dark, too long, ugh.
Next, poorly drawn eyeliner. When there's a gap between the lashline and the liner, and when the liner isn't even or smooth. Also, when there's bits of mascara on the eyes, where the brush has touched the skin.
Next, too much blush. Not good
Finally, the lips. Oh the lips. Way over-drawn, dark liner, super light frosty lipstick. Yuck!
Guys, I look hilarious!



Ok, here's today's real look:

Very pretty! I really like using blues and purples; it makes blue eyes pop!

I've actually had a ton of comments asking to keep this challenge going! So I've decided that every once in a while, whenever I find new makeup looks I want to try out, I'll document them on here! I may even do my own tutorials!
And since I love these 30 Day challenges, I think I'll start looking for a new one to try!

Makeup Challenge - Valentine's Day

I know, I know, I'm a day late. But I just didn't have the time to get pictures up yesterday. So here's yesterday's look.

Guys, I love this look! It's a bit more work than I'm willing to do on a daily basis, what with the false lashes and all, but it is perfect for Valentine's Day!

Speaking of Valentines Day, we had a wonderful evening! Brandon has been sick, so I wasn't expecting to do much. But he was feeling up to getting out of the house, so we loaded the girls up and off we went. We went to a little Japanese food place nearby, and I gave my heart to eel sauce and Masago. And Brandon. 

Brandon isn't a fan of sushi, but he knows I am. Even though he's sick, he still thought of what I might want on Valentine's Day. 

Man, I love that guy!

Mine isn't quite as vibrant as the picture, but I like it that way!

I debated putting on some fake lashes with this one, but it seemed silly since I'm not going anywhere today. I will be doing some fake lashes with my Valentine's Day look!

This look wasn't my favorite. The tutorial picture is beautiful, but I'm not a huge fan of it on me.

I think my gold is a lot more yellow than the picture, and I think I would like it more if it was more bronzy.

After I finished this look, Margot took one look at me and started to whine. She said I looked creepy and got a wipe out to clean my eyes off. I guess she wasn't a fan either.

Today's look is so pretty! I love unique ways to do eyeliner:

I didn't have any giant white glitter, so I just did the double-winged liner part. It actually wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be!

I love this look. It's such a unique play on the cat-eye!

This look is really cool, and this girl does a lot of really gorgeous tutorials, but her pictures crack me up. She's so serious!

I like this look, but it's a bit too over-the-top for every day.

Purple!

This is a tutorial I've been really excited to try. 

It seems that every time I try purple eyeshadow, I feel like I look like this:

Eeesh.

But this tutorial looks really wearable and pretty!

Makeup Challenge - Day 12

I'm back! It was a long week, and it was pretty hard laying my Grandpa to rest, but I am grateful for my family and the knowledge that I will see my grandpa again.

Ready to get back into the 30 day makeup challenge? I am!
Today's tutorial is Brigitte Bardot inspired. Bombshell, baby!

Of course, I had to do some messy Brigitte hair, which is always fun!

I really like this look, it makes my eyes look awesome! It reminds me a bit of the Lorde Royals look. It is very glamorous, so I may be toning it down to take Margot to the doctor in a while, but this is a perfect date night look.

Sorry I've been a bit MIA the last few days. 

Tonight I leave to drive up to Indiana for my Grandpa's funeral, and I probably won't have the time to continue the makeup challenge while I'm gone. But I will pick it up again when I get back.

My Grandpa was 90 years old, had been battling cancer. I will miss him very much, but I know that I'll see him again.
